VEGA's simple radar solution for better process
Date:2023-01-09        Hits:347        Back
VEGA is rethinking radar with the VEGAPULS 6X. The result: a new radar level meter capable of measuring levels in all foreseeable applications. Gone are the days when users had to choose from many different types of meters!

Often, choosing the right radar level meter involves a lot of work, including determining specific frequencies, media properties, temperature ranges, process connections, and so on. Now, VEGA's new VEGAPULS 6X is set to revolutionize this process. "At the end of the day, it's not about the meter, it's about what the user can do with it in a specific application," explains product Manager Florian Burgert. Florian Burgert, product Manager, who has been closely involved in development since the beginning, added, "Now, users just need to know that they have chosen the best measurement solution and that it will help them reach their goals faster, which will have a big impact on their day-to-day operations."

More than a million meters are in use around the world

The success story of VEGA, the global market leader in radar level measurement, began more than 30 years ago. To date, more than one million VEGA meters have been used worldwide to measure industrial processes. The story passed several milestones, including the introduction to the global market of the first two-wire radar meter and the first 80 GHz radar meter for measuring liquids. Behind the success stories stand employees with the same passion, "At VEGA, we don't do a hundred different things, but focus only on what we do best: that's radar!" Product manager Jurgen Skowaisa sums it up this way.

Comprehensive protection

The new VEGAPULS 6X is equipped with the best technology available today: a self-diagnostic system that instantly detects damage and interference, significantly improving availability and safety; The new radar chip technology is adopted, which has expanded application possibilities and easier operation. In addition to meeting the SIL certification, network security issues are fully considered: compliance with the security standard IEC 62443-4-2, which specifies the most stringent requirements for secure communication and access control.
