Three commendations

The winning products all have the following virtues: they are truly simple, powerful and durable. As a result, the Black Forest, German-based company's VEGAPULS, VEGABAR and VEGAPOINT compact meters won Red Dot Design of the Year 2021.

 

The truth of the best solutions is that the simpler the better

"VEGA is known for its simplicity," explains Rainer Waltersbacher, the general manager. "We know that this is our core concept, and we refine it as we design the product." At VEGA, the concept is based on years of experience and a lot of in-depth research, resulting in a new product that covers all the features. Our core goal is to "provide the best solution for the user, but also the simplest solution possible." Waltersbacher says this.

 

It's on display at the design show

In justifying the award, the jury emphasized the combination of precision and simplicity. The judges were impressed by the "simple design" and "masterful handling", as only these features would guarantee "reliable process safety".

The newly award-winning meters can be seen at the exhibition "Design on Stage" at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen. It was a great opportunity to witness firsthand the intuitive simplicity and aesthetic quality of these meters.
